I'd like our 70s style staircase taking out and a Victorian style staircase putting in.
Can anyone recommend a joiner or builder who could do this in the Preston area?

Really? Victoriana is OK if you are restoring a Victorian house; things like proper newel posts should be available from that salvage place on New Hall Lane.
I recommend Peter Riley from Sawley a few miles along the A59 who did a superb job in removing our ghastly brown-varnished B&Q fake Victorian banisters and replacing them with plain modern oak. 07837 039895.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll give him a call. And yes it is a Victorian house so we're trying to put some Victorian features back.
