So, I've got a bike listed with a 'buy it now' price. Pleased to see someone had hit the BIN button last night. Less pleased to see their email this morning:

Hi...i'm new on ebay and i press the button "buy it now" from mistake. After 2 min i sent you a message that i don't want to buy your bike because i don't have money. I really can't pay and i'm really sorry for this confusion. I hope that you understand me and you won't be mad on me. Please send me a message how i can do ...because i don't want to block my ebay account or to have any kind of problems for that. Sorry again. 😐

Next steps? Report them for non-payment?
Obviously I don't want to get stung for the seller fees & I'd quite like to relist it for free too!

you should be able to null the transaction and get your fees back.

You have to wait 2-3 weeks for this.

I had it just before xmas...

can't start the non-payment process for 2 days... OK no biggie, but I want to get it relisted ASAP.

If I choose the 'buyer and I agreed to cancel the transaction' option, do I still get a fee refund/free relisting?

If you want to, there's ways of doing a mutual agreement to cancel (or there were, at least, I've done it in the past). No ill effect for either party, other than a bit of hassle for you. Generally my preferred option unless someone's taking the piss.
