Whats with people not accepting your offer on eBay and changing their minds? Twice I've made somebody an offer on an item which they've turned down and then later when it's not sold for their over-inflated starting price, all of a sudden they want to take me up on my offer, by which time I've made other arrangements. Wtf!

you mean you took the BiN price before anyone else bid, or do you mean you made an offer ? I'd have thought the BiN button was "binding" on that auction
I guess seller was trying to maximise their return just like you were trying to minimise your outgoings
