MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb

I placed a second bid on an item and was then the winning bidder but I did not make the reserve price.
I called the seller for more informtion, asked the reserve price, still considered it good value, and bidded again. This time I raised my bid to the reserve price using the app on my phone.
I then, again using the app, added a little more over the reserve price as a contingency.
I then checked the bid history and found only four bids. The first bid that I bid against but had not yet reached the reserve, then two others with my username that took me straight to the reserve price.
I get the feeling I'm bidding against myself. Could this be possible? I expected to see another bidders ID just below mine. Am I missing something?
when you bid on top of a bid you've already made it doesn't count as another bid, just a max bid increase.

That was my understanding. The listing states the current bid as £1500
I've copied the bid history below.

That just means someone else has bid, but less than your bid, so your bid increases.
I think.
The bid count is just that a count of the number of bids place. If you bid times to raise your max bid and no one else does it will still show 3 bids.
