I bought an item off of eBay as a BIN.
I paid for the item immediately.
Both PP and eBay have the payment as pending.
I have contacted the seller to see what's up but nothing.
Seller has a good feedback profile and a member since 2009.
PP have an option to cancel the payment but I don't want to jump the gun.
Any suggestions?

The only issue I have had in the last ten years of with 'Payment pending' have been when details of the person you have been sending payment to are wrong, ie: could be just a full stop or underscore missing from their payment address, resulting in no address for the payment to go to. Double check with the person selling that their payment address is what you have. Hope this makes sense, I have had a few shandy's now 😳
just had the exact same and it was because the sellers paypal email was wrong. they had put cyces instead of cycles.
I cancelled the payment and they sent me a correct invoice.
