Can anyone recommend one of these? Our van has a Reimo multirail which is 1.95m from the ground. I like the look of the Vango airbeam ones but they state a minimum height of 2.05m for the rail so any alternatives welcome.

cant say I liked the Vaude one we owned briefly for the T4.

Much prefer the quechua pop up base tent.

We've just got a Khyam Motordome Sleeper. Was a cheap second hand purchase but was kinda on our radar when we were looking at new ones. Went for it as it offered a sleeping pod (for sleeping in and/or storing stuff like bikes/kids car seats etc) which didn't eat into your living space like so many do.

And it has a carpet.

We've got a Turismo XLS, it's packed size is small compared to others we've used, and is reasonably lightweight. Good thing about it is 2 sides can completely open up, as I find awnings quite claustrophobic. Really it's just a glorified tent, so probably not as durable as some, an the pegs are crap, so we bought some proper ground anchor pegs for hard standing pitches. Works a treat, and stayed upright in a couple of storms!

+1 for the Khyam Motordonme - had one for 6 years and it's stood up to gales, rain, hail, sun, kids and pops up in minutes, takes down just as quickly - great bit of kit.

We've got a Khyam motordome sleeper, which has been used once so mint and maybe looking to sell as surplus to requirements now. 😉

Oops - wrong thread. 😳

Not sure what driveaway we have, but it's a fiddly beast to attach to the van. I know it's German, because we also erect it using the pictures in the guide.

That all said, it's an incredibly useful bit of kit...
