Ask him if he'd finish the night with a shag?

I fail to see how enjoying spending time with your wife can be a bad/weird thing?

I do it all the time, my gf is infinitely more fun and interesting than many people I see down the pub. She is also a CAMRA member, has degrees, rides an mtb, jeez I've got it made!

That says rather a lot about what he thinks of his wife - or doesn't he have one?

I'm getting divorced from someone who I didn't go to the pub with, and shacking up with someone with whom I do go to the pub...

It's not exactly proof though.

I love going for a beer with Mrs 101, I like going for a meal and people watching (bitching) even better.
Tomorrow I shall be in me local with her and we shall have a beer, Ton I shall raise a glass to you at about 5pm.

Ton - if you do all the good ale spots in Leeds then either it'll take more than one night or you'll die.

And for what it's worth, I used to go drinking with my wife 19 years ago and, though it's less frequent these daydream with two small boys to look after, it's still great fun when we get the chance. Healthy marriage I'd say.

Yours are a little older, so why ever not?

My main circle of friends often go the pub with partners in tow, one big group of friends, BUT i prefer it when its the lads, & the stories are far better!

i was not asking cos i was worried, me and the wife have been together for 28yrs, and hae always boozed together.
i was just interested in other folks thoughts on the subject, i thought it odd that a mate thought it weird.

Me and the mrs regularly go out drinking together.
Not sure if it makes us wierd or not.

Got the mrs drinking red wine after I met her when all she would entertain is white wine and lemonade, and now she enjoys real ale in my local, however we are yet to partake in sharing the love of real ale together in the local. Need to change that.

I can go drinking with the lads, or I can go drinking with the mrs - neither take offence, or find it strange - ooh and quite often I combine both...
