Can rap sink any lower than this? I know I sound like a boring old fuddy duddy, but this is just sooooo apalling. Dull, misogynistic and lacking in any discernable talent whatsoever. And it's massively popular. Millions and millions of views on youtube.

🙁

Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti big booty hoes ( 🙂 ), it just baffles me how popular this awful music is. The big booty hoes deserve better.

And then have a good go on this just to make sure you're all cleansed

It'z all about the beatz, innit, bro'. It's for the sort of people who listen through the speakers of a mobile phone, and don't give a toss about the lyrics, 'cos most of the time they can't hear them.

After someone on here posted a youtube vid, I'm a fan of Dylan Owen. He's a 20 or so year old from NY state, so we've nothing in common, but he reminds me that I was 19 years old once...

Pertinent:

My mommy gave me Donny Half-a-way
Young Gifted and Black
Amidst The Positivity, I wanna bring it back
But Rap now-a-days is by a bunch of ignorant cats
No young gifted and black
Just guns bitches and crack
I react by turning off BET and Sambo's telling me what blackness is supposed to be
Used to give us world news now it's all videos replaced Tavis Smiley with reality shows
If you let the TV define what black is you think ice and violence is all we think that matters
I guess this is what happens when rappers look up to thugs
And kids look up to rappers
To some of y'all if I don't talk about the gat enough
Or sell crack enough
I ain't black enough
But I rather be a pro at being myself
Than be an idiot trying to be somebody else, what

To the OP, I had to stop watching because my wife came downstairs but I gather that he likes big booties. Can't argue with that to be honest. Some of those nice ladies do look very friendly.

Also, he's racist. He says the N word more than once.

I can't beleive there is a rap thread on a cycling forum without this being mentioned.

Funny, if not the best actual rapping!

rap has many faces

Judging by your posts: "HAD" many faces - that stuff's all 3+ years old!
(I post enough music on the forum without bothering to add any)
(Oh, all right, just one)

Jeez Grum, I didn't get past the "How I come up with this shit in the studio" line. That was enough for me. What f^&*ing pointless garbage. No wonder it has a lot of listens... check out the UK number 1 🙁

Well I just saw a photo of Green Day that made me want to punch the monitor. They don't even have to make any noise to annoy me immensely.

It's just the usual lowest common denominator pop rap, like Nicki Minaj herself - who has a massive following.

Here's one of my favorite K-Os tracks.

.."if you can't dance to this, is dosen't matter..."

This thread needs to mention the wonderous partnership of Rizzle kicks and DJ Fresh.

To quote:
"I'm not sick I don't need a psychiatrist, cos I'm a sky-hi-atrist"

It might not have been exactly that I was too busy being appalled to listen properly.

There is a LOT of crap rap out there - J5 pretty much the best of it all for me!

Made me think of this, ironically since apparently Common is part of Kanye's crew with this 2 Chainz chump.
