The advert which triggered the complaints - now not upheld - is no longer available to view.
hardly a triumph then. They might as well have upheld their decision, fannying around for 6 months has had the same net effect.

Not at all. The advert was no longer being shown at the point it was banned. It was a point of principle - had the ruling stood and not been appealed then no future adverts showing cyclists without helmets or cars giving cyclists enough space could have been shown. That was the reason for the appeal.
as well as the old - any media representation is better than no media representation.....
im sure alot more milage was had from this than the original ad campaign !
The original ad campaign was actually a bit rubbish and widely criticised by cycling advocates!
