Is it an urban myth?
I have often heard that cats love to crap in airing cupboards - if they get the chance - is it true or a load of ****.
Do people still have airing cupboards?
Ours prefers next door's garden.
We have a cupboard in the hall which used to be an airing cupboard but guess I can't be one anymore since theres no hot water tank since we has a combi boiler fitted. When our cat Daisy was a kitten she like to sneak in when my daughter left the door open and sleep in the packing box of spare towels.
She's never crapped in the airing cupboard, she did once spray diarrhea out as she walked from her litter tray through the hall into the living room.
Is it an urban myth?
It's not one which I've heard before. Certainly cats love airing cupboards, for obvious reasons - they're warm, comfortable, and quiet. Few animals want to sh1t where they like to sleep, so I can't imagine why they would want to do that.
I heard the prefer crypts.
after having cats for 20+ years the answer in our house is NO
I've got a dog that jumps our fence and craps on next doors patio! 😆

Our cat peed on my converse trainers, never shat in the cupboard though.
Our cat peed on the toaster and fused the whole house!!
Not always, they like to crap in slippers as well :-;
1 of our cats dumps in the bath on special occasions , (bath empty at the time)
When accidently locked up in the lounge my mum's cat crapped on a copy of my STW instead of doing it on the carpet and soft furnishings!!!
Our cat here in Italy pissed on my side of the bed just after i put fresh clean sheets on...bastardo!!!!
