My son went through a phase of demanding that I buld him stairs from Duplo. I think he must have been around 3 but he was obsessed with them.

Not seen lego in those colours before.
Ours is all blue, red, white and black.

Not a fan of a spiral staircase however yours is rather sweet. Did you have help?

Different colours because they're Megabloks.

House we moved into a few years back had this monstrosity from the workshop to the master bedroom (? wtf?)

Bit of a tricky thing to dismantle as the steps weigh a ton and have to be lifted up the centre pole and off the top.

Got a bundle for it on eBay though 😀

That seems ideal to me...!
Working hard but need a snooze?
Wake up at 2.30am with a great invention in your head?

Perfect on both counts! 🙂

Shifter, it's the wrong way round.

One of the first thing children get told when they visit a castle, is that the staircase bends to the right as you climb it to give the defenders an advantage in a sword fight as they retreat up it.

Trapdoor.

EDIT
You're talking to someone who sleeps next to an open window 365 days of the year. I like the room to be cold. 🙂

Graham - very good point, I am embarrassed.
Fortunately a cuddly toy driving Barbie's sports car destroyed any evidence.

Can't you even think of an original excuse?
