Overflow had become blocked beneath kitchen sink so I unscrewed it, cleaned it out, flushed detergent and water down it into a bucket, flushed it down the toilet, went to screw it back on. Oh. The nut and washer have vanished into thin air! (No speculation please!).
So I pop to B&Q expecting to walk in and find the exact piece I need but they only had push-fit for the size I need, so tried local independent DIY store, and realized I should have measured it, but it didn't look like they had what I wanted either.
This is the pipe in question. Need a nut and rubber washer bit to seal it. Measurement of the larger pipe 30mm external dia at the non-threaded part. Measurement of smaller pipe is 25mm external dia.
Are these non standard sizes? Looking online at fittings, they seem to be 32mm - is that the size of the thread? Will it fit this?
Think I can probably get the cheapest 32mm connector from Screwfix for £2.28 and remove one of the nuts and use that.
Looks like a waste spigot should screw in there.

As above, if you type overflow/hose connector into google it will come up with a few options for a few quid with hardware which should match the thread/diameter of your connection there.
Mcalpine do a screw on attachment. Appliances spigot iirc. However, is the flexible pipe part of the overflow?
If it is then appliances spigot is not what you need.
You need the specific nut and 1 or 2 o rings , black and orange usually flat 2mm washers.
You might be better off buying a new waste kit or screwfix sell a waste service kit with the washer but not the nut.
Yes flexibile pipe is part of the overflow, the bit shown isn't flexibile but just out of shot it has larger diameter and is flexible/expandable/compressible, and then goes up into the narrow space between sink & drainer where it's fits to an flattened oval overflow pipe.
I'm leaning toward the gamble on getting this just for the nut & washer I need - it looks pretty much what was on it.

I don't think that a standard 32mm compression fitting will work. At this stage you're better off asking at your local plumber's merchants, with the offending piece in hand, or gambling on the spigot attachment - the nut should go on ok, it's just a question as to whether you have the right washer in there to form a seal with your overflow pipe.
Yeah the 32mm was far too big, got refund. Two plumbing merchants later and the only solution was new trap. Expensive mistake.
Oh well, you now have 90 percent of a trap in your spares box.
If I understand you correctly you need the 'nut' and rubber washer that holds the overflow pipe to the trap. This usually comes with the sink waste. Have a look on the Screwfix website or go along to one of their stores.
