Whats the deal these days - do they reapir windscreen chips for free or do you have to pay? Its unclear in the details - has anyone had a chip repaired?

yeah, just didn't want to get myself in a sistuation where they say "now we know about it you have to have it doen and it will cost you £10zillion" as I don't have £10zillion.

Should be free, as long as your policy has glass cover.
I had three windows smashed in, they replaced the lot (including the expensive heated rear window) for the £50 excess, no effect on no claims either.
