That you need to check the bolts on your car wheels 30kms after having new tyres fitted?
No?
Neither did I, my wife had her car MOT'd & was told she needed 4 new tyres fitted. We had it done, I did know they were close to the limit so wasn't too surprised.
About 80 miles later she thought she had a flat tyre but when she stopped to look it was ok, so she took it into the nearest garage.
Who said that the nearside front wheel hadn't been done up! One of the others was a bit lose too... when I rang the garage who fitted the tyres they said that on all their invoices it says that the bolts should be checked after 30kms, they also said it was very embarrasing for them - pretty bl**dy dangerious for us
Always check wheel bolts after someones had your wheels off.
My corsa needs them to be 110nm, kwickfit regulary get this wrong, last time they did my tyres on one of the wheel's of the four bolts only two were one right, the other ones were finger tight! They also managed to crush the rear wheel bearings but thats another story...
Ha, just had the owner of the garage chain on the phone.
Initially the manager said the guy who did the job had been dismissed between doing the job & now (hope he hasnt gone to another local garage), the owner of the chain says the manager himself did the work because he was showing a junior how to fit wheels so the job sheet has been signed off by two people so it definately wasnt down to them (I hope the ink is now dry on the job sheet).
He suspects somebody has tried to steel the wheels from her car (Renault Scenic - standard wheels).

Haha thats an epic bullshit line! Im impressed he had the balls to throw that one out there!
Do people even still do that? On standard Scenic wheels as well...
Class isn't it.
Luckily no harm done ... I will be checking the wheel bolts again tonight though
