from this morning's BBC news:
More than 17,000 staff have been employed to ensure the security of the Games, including 63 guards with automatic weapons who will guard the Glasgow delegation.
I can understand why they might be a bit concerned, especially if they saw what happened in Manchester when Rangers played there a couple of years back, but it does seem a bit excessive.
