There is a Pub in Haltwhistle called the Black Bull. It's pretty good, other than that there is a reasonably good chinese takeaway there too

Oh, should mention, the outdoor swimming pool (heated) is definitely worth a visit if the weather is goos, also there is a BMX track there too. Worth a play, even on MTB
