Better band to cut your wrists to? Possibly not.

Yes. They are great though, although seeing them live was a bit of a studentfest. Basically, STFU when the band are playing! Why on earth would you pay good money to shout unintelligible rubbish at your mates for a couple of hours?

the only time i've ever cried like a baby in public was running back over the golden gate bridge into sf one night with death cab for cutie on my ipod. everything was just too pretty.

best moment of my entire life to date.

REM with a melody block and a vocalist who reminds me of the John Belushi party/stair singer scene in Animal House

DCFC are a terrific band, and live they really rock. Seen them twice, once in a 500 capacity venue in Bristol when Transatlantisism came out, and a couple of years ago at Koko as part of iTunes Live. I wouldn't say they're the best band, there are many I love just as much, such as Metric, who I'm seeing in London tomorrow, Elbow, who are possibly my favourite band, Wolf Parade, who I'm seeing in September, The New Pornographers, Stars, Arcade Fire, Black Mountain. DCFC manage to write intimate personal songs that translate into really anthemic rock songs live. Love 'em.
