The 18650 batteries quoted for P7 torches - do you need a specific charger? Or will a standard AA battery charger do it?
My guess is I'll need a specific charger but advice appreciated?!
Yep - think it's a specific charger. You should find the right one on the dealextreme site. I think they come with a US plug on, so you will probably want a US>UK adaptor too.
That's what put me off getting one of their torches; I didn't want another charger lying around at home using another type of battery.
different charger as the batteries are much bigger than AA's. The DX one is good but as others said you need to pick up a £1 travel plug to make it work.
The 18650 hold much more charge than a normal AA, hence the power/runtimes.
Not a dumb question BTW, its not exactly obvious on the website and they have so much stuff it can be difficult to work out what you need.
Cheers lads greatly appreciated
Just ordered this

Again the blurb is unclear, I assume it comes with batteries?!
No, I doubt it does, you need order these as well:
charger

batteries

and get a Euro plug adaptor from a SuperMarket
im running two similar DX torches and you will def need batteries and charger is type specific, youll get about fifty mins to and hour on full power from a single battery so Id get at least two. if you get four batteries get two chargers as if your batteries are really flat they can take a good few hours to fully charge. there great lights by the way
Thanks all - have now bought all the bits-n-pieces
Cheers
