So i need a dashcam for my other car

Main car has a NextBase 522gw hardwired with a rear camera which has a display, wifi/bluetooth, parking protection etc.. and cost over £200

Looking for something similar so front and rear cameras with hardwire kit, wifi/bluetooth connection, parking protection etc.. but budget is £100 and a display isn't needed this time

Thanks

I'm using a Red Tiger front and rear camera. Not hardwired in but it could be. Not had to use it in anger but it seems to record lots of stuff. Paid around £130 over a year ago.

Look for a camera with the Sony starvis chip in it. They seem to get decent reviews.

Nextbase have some decent deals so I bought a 322GW last Saturday but be warned; despite paying for next working day delivery it still hasn't arrived... 🤬

Have a look at the Garmin mini cameras, easy to use app and great quality.

Just saw an advert on YouTube saying Halfords has up to 50% off nextbase.

Cheers for the replies

I popped into Halfords yesterday to take a look at a few and bought a Nextbase 320XR+ bundle for £99

Has all the features I was looking for minus the bluetooth/wifi which after thinking about it I can just remove the memory card to access the video rather than connecting to my phone

bump as im thinking of getting one for new car.  any decent black friday deals?  id prefer not to have to hardwire anything in, but if not how long do batteries tend to last?  if hardwire is better quality then i suppose id suck it up and have one installed properly.

would prefer front and rear really.

cheers

Replaced our eprance with a roadangel halo.

Not sure on the lack of screen. Once the app goes you've just lost the ability to do any settings...... Our eprance was 10 years old.

Watching with interest for a 'good one'. Hard wired some cheap ones in before using piggy back fuse connectors - easy enough. Not worried about doing that. Just decent front/rear camera.

thinking about what would be most useful, i guess one that doesnt drain the battery when the cars switched off, but, 'springs' into action if someone bumps it whilst its parked.

Just running off the camera battery isn't an option. If it's not hardwired in to the fuse box, (which is actually an easy job) then it's plugged into a fag lighter socket.

I've never had a rear camera, but I assume that needs either power to it if wireless/bluetooth connected to the main camera or a wire all the way to the front for power and signal.
