Looking for a site that has nice showers for the wife and no shop or club etc for me.( I'd be in a bivvy bag at Cape Wrath given half a chance.) Ideally moorland close by rather than the sea but no big deal. Pub within walking distance is nice but even less of a big deal.
Suggestions please.

Harford Bridge nr Tavistock. pretty civilised but right next to the Tavy and straight out onto the moors.

NB. i've never camped there, but I ride past it quite a lot and it looks nice...

I am now told that Exmoor might be where we are going 🙄 so the same question about that neck of the woods please.

no shop/club, average shower block. very level, generally quiet, great location - in town but out of town.

a bit busier, not quite so level, tiny shop, no club. horse riding/stables. trek to the pub but still a great site

Langstone Manor at Moortown near Tavistock is nice. I stayed a few days a few years ago on the way down to Cornwall. Nice location on the edge of the moor, decent facilities.

Oops, just noticed you've changed to Exmoor. I would have thought a good bet would be between Exmoor and the Quantocks. Hopefully someone can advise 'cos I'm interested too.
