FFS!
Friends have advised that MCJnr has been implicated in some bullying through Clash of Clans. Knowing nothing about it, I'm trying to check some facts.
Briefly, Jnr is apparently Leader of a Clan which includes most of his mates - they are Year 7. All the boys were Elders, which apparently means that they can't be kicked out the Clan. One of his mates annoyed him at school, so Jnr demoted him (?) intending it to be for a night. While he was demoted, another of the lads kicked him out, and it's all gone stupid.
Have I got these facts right? It has been alleged that no one can be kicked out of a clan without the Leader agreeing, which is why it has got so out of hand. The lad kicked out has always been good mates with Jnr, and he has really taken this badly, so we suspect there may be other things involved as well.
Anyway, Jnr has no access to a phone or interweb for a while, and has been warned that if he gets involved in anything like this again then we will ask the school to remove his Anti-bullying Ambassador status, which has got him properly worried.
Anyway, glad I'm not helping at the Scout troop tonight, as they should all be there!
Do you remember the Good Old Days when bullies just thumped people?
WTFCats ?

To my shame I know the answer, if the chap had been demoted from 'Elder' then any one could have kicked them out assuming all were elders or higher
Anyone can kick out someone lower ranked than them so any elder can kick out an ordinary member but not another elder. The kicked out person can be invited back or request re entry. All pretty simple so likely to be something else in the background.

That made me proper laugh out loud. 😆
Cyber-Bully has Anti-Bullying Ambassador status? Good cover!
Stop his pudding ration
From the point of view of a neutral outsider, who knows buggerall about games, etc, it rather looks like MCJr has himself become the unfortunate victim of the Law of Unintended Consequences. It's difficult to say whether he was wrong to demote the other player over a spat at school, that does seem a bit petty, but that's kids.
What's seemingly really out of order is that another little git took advantage to settle a score of his own by kicking the unfortunate player out of the Clan, and IMHO, it's him who needs his ass kicked, because that's just being spiteful.
I'm honestly not being partisan because it's a member on here who's kid's involved, that's how I see it, the other lad has been really out of line, and should suffer the consequences, which should involve being removed from the Clan for an agreed period, while the other member is reinstated.
And loss of pudding privileges for MCJr for starting the whole unhappy cluster****. 😀
Give jnr his phone back and tell him to invite the other kid back into the clan.
Then take the phone back off him and make him and no pudding.
What the **** happened to a kick about, 3 and you're in and 5 a side with 'rush' goalie?
Wtf is leader of the clan, elder and kick'er out'er? I blame that bastion of middle class'ness. The Scouts!
Only way to settle this is elastic bands with tightly folded paper 'bullets' and a meeting of the whole year on the playing field at lunchtime.
Thanks all
I may be biased but I think Count Zero has it spot on. Suspect the guy doing the kicking out meant it as a joke and it's got out of hand.
The "victim" in all this has a few problems that make him rather vulnerable, and he has been bullied by others outside this group in the past - someone pulled a blade on him at primary school. The fact that his group of friends appear to have ganged up on him, especially Jnr who has been one of his most loyal friends the last couple of years, seems to have affected him quite badly.
Anyway, Jnr has learnt a valuable lesson about the cyber world today.
And he didn't want any pudding - possibly because he made it in cookery at school today. Tasted Ok to me though.
Oh Christ, is this what I've got coming, I was looking forward to the day my lad gets bored with minecraft, looks like it's just going to get worse, I agree with monksie, life for kids was far, far better when it was devoid of technology!

YOu ate something cooked at a school? **cough**bogeys**cough**

I have nothing useful to add other than "oh dear". We used to sneak into the cookery classrooms and mess with people's food. I bet that still goes on...

[cough]picolax[/cough] 😉
Seems that they have sorted it all out at Scouts and apologised for being dicks. He has an open invite to rejoin the clan. Which is a relief. 🙄
Though apparently the kid who did the kicking out has asked MCJnr if they can go into town on the bus tomorrow. I'm thinking the answer needs to be "No", just to maintain the veneer of MCWCB outrage for a day longer.
In my experience the parents blow everything out of proportion nowadays. The smallest of infringements seems to warrant parent intervention (knock on the front door).
A sweeping generalisation I know but older parents seem to be the worst at this.
Never happened in my day, it was all sorted in the playground and not on the doorstep.
