Where's the best place to upload your CV about at the moment, live and work in Edinburgh?

Sorry, the best website to upload it to. Used Monster a couple of years ago, made the mistake of putting my mobile number in, got hounded constantly by agencies.

Isn't that what's supposed to happen?

What do you hope to get out of it? Surely being "hounded by agencies" is exactly the responce you are looking for if you want a new job?

Unforunately it wasn't male escort agencies!

Since it was the first time a had done something like that, i didnt realise it would be agencies that hounded you, thought companies would get in contact.

Instead, agencies phone you, all ask you the same hundred questions and tend to come back with something thats irrelivant to you, all so that they can charge a finders fee to the company that eventually wants to make you one of there employees. Finders fee, you went to them, why should they get a finders fee!

Unfortunatley nowadays more and more companies use agencies as it saves them the hassle.

Anyway, getting absolutely no sense here. Thread ended for me.

Thanks.

simply uploading your CV & hoping they'll come to you is just not realistic, unless your name's Lionel Messi

You need to actively search the jobsites for jobs that match your skillset, then apply to them. and wait. and wait some more. and wait a bit longer...

I used www.s1jobs.com when looking for a job in Scotland.

Have you tried that one?
