I have to say that I am struggling a bit in getting used to the UK timetable. Shops closing at 5pm FFS!
Another problem I have is the lunchtime timetable, for me lunch would start around 2pm and finish as late as 4:30pm.
What's your lunchtime timetable?

I'm not too worried about duration, more start/stop times, but thanks and I agree with the wimps thing. 😀

A collegue moved from spain this year. He works whilst we eat our prepacked canteen saries then he breaks out the baguette and chorizo at about 2. I know that if it was allowed he'd have a glass of wine and a nap too. bless

The self-same shops who complain about 24 hour Tescos stealing their business 😕

Yes but at least they do have the decency to stay open all of the day, rather that needing a little lie down in the middle of it.

I think I can safely assume that no-one's going to answer the original question.
sugdenr, there are lots of shops that remain open throughout the day in Spain too, but that wasn't the point of the post.

What's lunch!

Work pretty much none-stop from 8.30 to 5.30. Coffee and sarnies eat while working.

An hour if possible, usually at 12pm.

Half an hour, as late as I could manage. Normally about 1pm before the starving hunger took ahold. Any earlier than that and it was a long afternoon!

Variable: twice a week I swim over lunchtime so nibble before and gorge after. Once a week I'm on a roadie so eat when I get home at about four. Once a week I'm on an MTB so eat at two. The other days eating fits around whatever I'm doing. Dinner though is pretty much always between seven and eight.

Sorry, I missed the question.

I go for lunch when I'm hungry, which can be anywhere from 11:30 to about 4. Generally it's about 1pm.

Sometimes I'll take an hour if it's a quiet day, sometimes I'll take ten minutes and go home a little earlier instead.

I self-police my hours, so basically I'll come in / leave / eat at varying times, working late or through lunch to offset times when I don't.
