Short version...
- Mislead at booking for holiday, costs ended up significantly higher than the price they quoted (had to pay for things that they claimed were included).
- Company is not UK based but does have office here
- Company obvioulsy not being helpful and in fact seems to enjoy my stress!
- Holiday not taken yet but paid for and includes accomodation, flight and some food.
- Point blank refusal to refund me

Qs
Is this the type of thing that chargeback is designed for?
Does it cost the company money to 'defend' like an ombudsman claim?
Is there an ombudsman for the travel sector?
Â
All a bit stressful so trying to assess options!

I'd talk to credit card company first..at least you'll find out with the ultimate sanction.
Presumably, you're happy to forego this holiday now?
I'd happily accept the refund and book another, with another company, yes. Just unsure about the applicability especially given the non-UK nature of the company involved. I'm guess charge back is not territory restricted though?
If you dispute the charge with your CC you will need to evidence all of what you claim. It should be simple enough - just upload links to what was offered originally and then subsequently charged for along with copies of all email correspondence etc. if you log on to your CC account there should be an easy to find link to start the process and while it’s in dispute it will not be added to your statement.Â
