Me and the GF are off to morzine on Sunday to watch some of crankworx and to also do some exploring.

I’ve been to morzine a couple of times but I’ve only done laps of the bike parks and not seen a lot else so I’m after some suggestions for places to go and stuff to see while we’re not watching crankworx. We won’t have a car while we’re there so will have to rely on public transport and the lift system.

Cheers,

Ash.

depends what's open so early in the season, but some ideas:

Indiana Parc Aventure http://www.indianaventures.com/fr
Cascade Aventure http://cascadeaventure.wixsite.com/cascade-aventure
Aquariaz http://www.avoriaz.com/envie-de/activites-en-famille/aquariaz#tab83
Parc des Déreches http://www.parc-dereches.com/en/
Les Gorges du Pont du Diable http://www.lepontdudiable.com/

take your swimming trunks (not shorts, not allowed)

Use the Lihsa balad'aulps bus to explore further down the valley towards Thonon les Bains and Lake Geneva. €1.50 per trip.

I’ve heard Aquariaz is closed for the foreseeable Stoner? Problems with the roof apparently

I hadnt hear that BB, but looks like it was closed towards the end of the ski season due to heavy snow build up on the roof. Some tweets suggest it will be open in July, possibly from the 8th.

Obviously this is too late for the OP, but as I say, keep an eye on opening dates for the summer activities because June is still v early in the season.

If it's like any normal year Morzine Avoriaz will open their lifts the latest and close them earliest in the season, cutting all the vital links between Les Gets and the rest of the PDS
