that's old. somewhere in canada, i think.
not fake, I have seen it first hand on the edges of lake Geneva!
lake geneva +1
oooopps... sweden. pre 2007.
not fake, I have seen it first hand on the edges of lake Geneva!
Just read the comments on the photo's link,& it is infact lake Geneva.
I'm guessing the hedge didn't cop it a it's the result of waves being blown onto the street and freezing, and the hedges were out of range...?

These pictures are amazing, yes, but they are not from an ice storm.
The photos actually show lake spray accumulation on the cars.
Lake Geneva doesn’t freeze, and the spray from the lake lands on the cars and benches and freezes on them. It’s too bad for the car owners, but they should probably know better.
An indicator that the ice is definitely NOT from precipitation is the buildings in the background of the photos–notice that they don’t have any ice on them.
Yup, I was there on my honeynoon 12 yrs ago (yikes!), it wasn't as bad as in the pics but the trees were covered and benches near the edges. Mainly caused by the abrupt vertical banks of the lake making the waves shoot up in the air, making a fine mist which freezes easily, looked really funky! will have to find a pic I took.
