Well I've got hold of a camper van and I'm taking it to Cornwall on the 12th sept for a week, can anyone recommend where I can stop, preferably somewhere with some good riding nearby?

it'd be good to meet up for a brew or two?
(I'm well off the beer!)

Well I do know that much of the western coast around Bude etc is footpath, and there doesn't seem to be much riding there, but I have been to the Poldice Valley near Truro, which takes you through old quarries and tin mines and stuff. Possibly some jumpy bits there.

Go see the folks at the Bike Barn at Portreath, they have a camping field and a bike shop and will sort you a map with the best riding for you.

Poldice valley has plenty of DH and Freeride jumps and drops. What type of riding do you like? There is a coast to coast type of trail there but i find it incredibly dull and boring.

Coast paths are good from St Agnes back to Portreath.Plenty of Campsites all over the place.

If you want i could take you for a local XC/Trail ride on a Saturday or Sunday and maybe an early evening ride once i finish work.I am in the Redruth Area.
Email is in my profile.

Well it only took five and a half hours driving, balancing engine temp v's road speed v's gradient, it's is a fun game! 🙂
