Been using opti free for ages and just wondered if there's really much difference between all the different brands?

's just saline, isn't it? One bottle of salty water's the same as another I'd have thought. Does the bottle not list ingredients?

I used Opti-free for a while but started using Asda's own stuff as there didn't seem to be much difference. I now use dailys so no solutions to buy at all.

yeah could check ingredients, i have monthly lenses as they were cheaper than dailies but don't wear them every day so i thought spend bit more cash on solution (plus used it for years and never had probs) so if being stored for a few days they'll be in good nick

I've tried most of them (on soft monthly) and have settled on Boots own brand as it seems to do a better job of stopping protein build-up without the occasional stinging I get with others, particularly AOsept. No idea why as they seem to have the same ingredients.

After trying umpteen different lens cleaners over the years, i have given up with the expensive ones, and use Tesco own brand, since switching to it, not had sore eyes, they clean up nice and are comfortable straight away. This is with hard lenses, and they can be a right pain at times.
