I thought this would be easy
I bought a DVI - HDMI cable as there is no HDMI port on the laptop, the laptop sees display detected but no pic, I guess I need to power up the DVI port but have tried fn -F4 and fn F5 as read on the web
what am I missing oh wise ones

Other think to consider is that DVI does not carry sound.
