I am working on a website based on Concrete5.

I need to add a bit of code

<div style="height: 50px;"></div>

When I paste it in the appropriate place all seems well. I hit 'save' and nothing happens. The edit just goes away.

I have done everything I can think of but nothing works. I have checked, double checked, previewed the edits, published the edits, started from scratch but to no avail.

I assume that if I paste this code on a page, and it works, it will still be there for me to see if I re-enter edit mode. The thing is....it isn't.

The html editor in Concrete5 is a bit basic and someone suggested I download Textile which would be 'better'.

I can't see how it would help if the rotten code won't save.

Save me from going mad please!

is it using TinyMCE as the rich text editor? as depending on how it's setup it will strip out empty html elements and attributes that aren't deemed allowed, see http://www.tinymce.com/wiki.php/configuration:extended_valid_elements for detals

Yes it is.

I'll have a peep at your link tonight when I'm a bit less stressed! :o)

I've just tested it on a C5 site - and it seems to work. [I have text below the <div> which is 'pushed down' the page by the statement]...

Stupid question but have you remembered to publish your changes?

I have remembered to publish! :O)

In the end I changed my html editor to Textile and it worked fine.

Thanks for the help everyone.
