I got this bargain of a desktop http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Lenovo-Thinkstation-S20-Xeon-1-8-DESKTOP-/330460588617?pt=UK_Computing_DesktopPCs#ht_500wt_1154 on ebay, now it has arrived I want to confirm it has all the parts it should have.
Can people confirm the back is correct as I thought a VGA should be holes on the PC and prongs on the cable, this appears visa versa http://www.flickr.com/photos/andrew-taylor/sets/72157624689113049/
Also where do I go on a windows PC to check the components are there and work as on a mac you just go apple icon > About this mac and it shows me everything.
Thanks for any help.
No VGA, 2 DVI ports. The thing you think is VGA is a serial port.
You can get DVI-> VGA adapters.
Thanks IA
I'm off to catch up with a mate any info provided thanks! Think I need to buy a new monitor as the old one only has a VGA.
DVI-VGA adapter is cheap, VGA will be fine quality wise. Good excuse for a new monitor mind. Sub £200 will get you a nice big 24", or about £100 for a 20" ish.
Under a pound inc delivery:
RIght click on my computer and select manage. Then click on device manger and it should give you a break down of whats inside. Can also use CPUZ, download from here

DVI is digital, VGA is analogue. DVI -should- be better, but variation if kit quality is probably more relevant. Converters are available.
So, what IA said.
