I'm having problems with scripts - keeping getting an error message on here, 'do I want to run scripts, yes/no?'

Can't sort it, tried download new IE, etc but not working - do I need to download JavaScript?

Donít download IE8 itís a pile of poo ñ it uses most of your CPU and launch multiple processes that ground you Pc to a halt ñ apparently (according to an article I read) it only functions well on quad core process ñ some kind of MS conspiracy to make us buy new hardware ñ I now use firefox

Download the latest java from http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp and the latest flash from adobe.com.
Let us know if that cures it.

Sounds like you have not given IE permission to run script for this site.

If you've got Firefox on your machine just launch it.
Assuming you're connected to the web it should work.

To be honest I'd just use firefox like others have said, it's not hard just launch it like you do any other programme.

Yes.
I've jst gone to the BTYahoo home page to update the browser so I'll see if that helps.

open FF go to tools>options>advanced>system defaults and tick the default browser.

you can also set your home page in tools>options>main and set your home page to whatever you want

In >advanced - only can 'reset' or 'restore advanced settings'.

Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer) is ticked - should it be?
Disable Script Debugging (Other) is ticked - should it be?

In IE mine are both ticked, but I never use IE. Give FF a go 😉

Make sure it's FF 3 you have installed.

Tools->options->Advanced-> select general tab the bottom tick the always check box.

I have two options;

Tools>Internet Options>Advanced - no always check!

or

Tools>Browser Options>General>Always check to see if BTYahoo is the default browser.

Someone probably told him to turn his PC back on and off again but he's not sure how to put it back on and can't ask on here. 😆
