MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
Afternoon all
There must be some accountant types/company car drivers out there in STW land that might know this.
I pay a monthly contribution towards my company car (not for personal use, fuel etc - just for the vehicle itself). I also pay for my personal mileage on a monthly basis. The car contribution comes off after deductions, the fuel before. Is there any reason for that, and are there implications (apart from me saving money) for the car contribution coming off before PAYE and NI?
Thank you
Someone has cocked up. Both deductions should be after tax, only salary sacrifices recognised by HMRC can be taken off prior to tax.
Contributions towards the car and paying for your own private mileage just reduces yours and companies P11d benefit.
I get you, cheers
