I'm thinking South Bank to Tower Bridge, cross over and hit the cycle path through St Katherine's Dock. I don't know exactly where you're going, but it may well be doable almost completely off-raod. Which might be nice. 🙂

The last part is across town from Waterloo to Docklands mostly south of the river. London traffic at 08:30 in the morning. Ironic Ride Rating - "Interesting". Post-ride Status - "Survived"...

there are plenty of quieter routes to use, though sometimes that take a bit of find and/or are not the most direct. there is a good bit out to docklands though thatis of the main highway runs parallel with the DLR for bits
