Let us smash those mighty San Marino bastards!

Too long have they bullied the world footballing stage!

Tonight they go down! It's time to fight for our footballing...

[img] [/img]

...and, as a pre-emptive strike against the Great Escape soundtrack....

Oh, and the team:

Will watch for Arsenal interest (half expecting Gibbs and the hobbity one to be stretchered off by half time).

Given the Özil news, I expect Gibbs, Welbeck, Wilshere and Chambers to spontaneously combust around the 20min mark.

The Ox will get a splinter off the subs bench which will see him done till 2015.

It's actually quite the Arsenal-centric team, and pundits, tonight.

As a complete football retard. Isnt that rather a lot of subs? Is that usual or is this a friendly?

The SM coach might be better off just sticking a sack of spuds in the goal mouth ... prone to chips though.

Squad is 21.

Subs allowed is 3....as in they can only make 3 substitutions.

Erm...I wasn't paying a massive amount of attention to the pre game ramblings, but I got the impression we were gonna thump goal after goal past them.....
25% played and not a bean...

Anyone care to guess the score line? I reckon 1-1 draw...

I do apologise sc-xc I thought it was a thread about Braveheart.
Anyway on topic some bloke on radio 4 this morning was saying that Rooneys goals had less weight than Linekers etc because England had achieved nothing in his time. Bit harsh I thought as Rooney has played in poor teams.

A_A he also said that Linekers and CHarltons were worth more cos they were in winning world cup competitions. Not sure how we (the entire world) missed us winning the world cup all thise times but good newsnonetheless, or he could have been talking bollocks.

San Marino are joint worst team in the world, sharing 208th place in the FIFA world rankings with Bhutan.

England are slim favourites then, I reckon 1-0.

Nah. Sky Sports are showing 4 bloody hours of fat blokes throwing things at a wall.

What things?
Cake?
Octopi?
Kittens?

I knew I should have got Sky - their making better batter aren't they?
Or is it rubbing things better?
Or botting bitter biffers?

Anyway, shh now, the footie's on.

I wonder if Roy realises he is the manager of England. He seems to be just sitting there like a pensioner waiting for a bus.

It's how Arsenal do.

Given how French Arsenal used to be, quite interesting that England team is currently 45% Arsenal.

...obviously how bad England currently are, is nothing to do with that 8)

Rooney ballsed up 2 one-on-ones, and then a goal disallowed for being offside, despite being blatantly on.

Such a poor game.

A few years ago some friends & myself hatched a devious plan to move to San Marino, gain citizenship & join the San Marino team. So if we actually managed to leave the pub & carry out that plan, we could've been playing tonight.
