We will be in touch
So when approaching new companaies regarding work should I go straight in and phone the person or email them first with an outline of what we can offer?
99% of emails from unknowns get binned straight away.
Waste of resources sending it in the first place..
Phone first, I'd say. Email later if a company seems up for it.
Email first and the risk is your message is (a) treated as spam, or (b) read by the wrong person - someone who either doesn't know who to pass it on to or can't be bothered.
If you know the right person then just phone and follow up with an email after the call (even if they give you the brush off - just word the email to say that you're just giving them your details in case they choose to contact you in future).
If you email first saying can you arrange a call they'll either say don't bother or be prepared to brush you off when ytou do call.
Nice one, thought so. Cheers chaps
I did read somewhere that as written communication is such a rarity these days the novelty value will get you more attention. Obviously a proper letter, not just a flyer stuffed in an envelope.
