The song ‘which way is up’ came to mind yesterday, which reminded me that I’m quite partial to songs with clapping. What ya got?
To get us started:

minor clapping at 0:45 and 1:35, but sorts out the fans who know from the hangers on
I would embed the you tube link but I don't know how, anyway I offer up The Handclapping Song by The Meters.
Edit - Maybe not that way then
Nope I give up.

@neila go to YouTube, select the video, once it's playing click the share button, select copy link, paste directly into the text box here
@neila - I just paste the link straight in and it works. It shows up as text in the preview function, but once you press 'submit' it automagically converts it.
Edit - wot he said
Clapping and disco... Love it
Cool cheers
Well blow me sideways, it worked!
Nina for the win
Do you think it’s fair to say ‘The Cure’ had a fairly unique sound, that never tires?
Rather sadly
My favourite song. The handclaps aren't especially prominent or anything, but they sound great - especially in the middle eight.
Edit that: everything sounds great:
Except for Belle Star because.
a. Theres a better version already on the thread.
b. they forget to actually clap
Go to sleep little baby by Cartes sure table
And yes I have actually seen Steve Reich do this live with a bigger group. Minimalism init
A fine example of the simple double clap
OOOW!
Top notch!
Well, I’ve enjoyed these. A few well known and a few new to me. Thanks joshvegas for the playlist.
johnx2 I’m envious of you having seen Steve Reich perform. Although, I’m not a huge fan of live music, as as here their performing distracts me from the music.
The Anna Kendrick video was difficult to watch - she has no hairnet and keeps touching her face and hair!

I am glad someone posted up We Will Rock You. - it's an all-time clappy classic. Weirdly I never quite realised that instruments do not feature on the song until right at the end until watching a documentary about 5 years ago when they were discussing how they came about it. And I have been there and seen it live (Maine Road, 1986). An unforgettable experience.

You can watch her donit live on various chatshows. Its quite impressive.
This tune had some memorable... err, hand clapping.
Fine stuff
