A box of New Berry Fruits for me please

I can’t remember where I heard this story but stole this version of it from the Guardian

This maybe apocryphal but still: The British ambassador to Mexico is asked by a local TV station what he would like for Christmas, after debating the ethics of such a gift with his questioner he decides upon a small box of chrystalized fruits. On Christmas day he is watching television when the newsreader announces: " and finally, we asked the ambassadors to our country what they would like for Christmas. The French ambassador said he wished for world peace, the Canadian, a cure for cancer and the British? A small box of chrystalized fruits."

If your relatives can't end poverty and solve world peace then maybe...

- BikePark Wales voucher

- Night in a glamping pod at Glentress and ride the Tweed Valley

- Fidlock waterbottle (Peays are nice and rattle free)

- OneUp EDC of various types/styles

- Ravemen FR 160 if you have a Garmin out front style mount on a drop bar bike

- Dynaplug race tubeless jabber

- Windproof gilet.  Keeps the core toasty and dry while letting pits vent. I hardly wore a full jacket last year.

- 100% Briskers.  Not the hydromatic type.

- Clear glasses.

- YETI Rambler flask for hot tea in the vehicle after a cold ride

Every year I get a world bike relief donation receipt. Much better than socks with bikes on or a dull book about bikes and it doesn't fill up my house.

Stunt kite…..ha ha ha. Don’t even go there, I have one, was bought for a fun present by the other half after a few years of us being together, it’s gathering dust! For whatever reason it just wouldn’t fly!! Even on a windy day it went up and then pardon the expression, but I couldn’t keep it up. No-one could 🤣

I’ve just found out I’m getting the best Xmas present a man could ever wish for- the Mother in Law is going to my wife’s sisters for Xmas day!

Apparently Im on for a ninja air fryer and an electric blanket. As ever nowt bike or tools. I did suggest a domino jointer would be ideal, though while expensive,I'd happily cover half the cost.

And got the usual scowl when explained what that was.

So air fryer and electric blanket it is 🙁
