As i am already starting to whack a bit chubbs on round the belly department i will do my usual after christmas purge, cut out all the biccys, alcohol etc for about a day then crumble bit by bit making justifications to myself why that pint doesnt count cos i only ate a small lunch etc etc.

Tho the before breakfast runs and a bit of willpower seems to work a treat for me.

But right now i couldnt give a toss. I'm gonna enjoy myself, get porky and deal with the self-hatred later on.

Anyhoo what works for you getting rid of the handles of love?

I am on it! Well the beer mince pies and sausage rolls.
The road bike is all set up on the turbo trainer in the garage for a 7.00am session on the 27th. I intend to hit the training pretty hard through January, with no (or very little) junk food and beer.

I haven't ridden in over a week and feel like a real bloater!

waiting till the 27th? pah. I'll be on the turbo on Christmas Day. 2 hours away from the inlaws, plus it allows me to eat SO much more vintage Comte. yum.

I never stop exercising over Christmas - don't do any on the day but every other day I run &/or cycle, I just pile the weight on these days if I don't
For the last week I've been out in the snow/ice before breakfast for a 7 or 8 mile run - It's been superb, a pair of cross country spikes on gives so much grip you can even sprint
Tough going this morning though in the fresh snow we had over-night but still great fun

I'll be out in the woods on Boxing Day. I find having one or two 'smoothie' meals a day, cutting out the carbs, makes the weight come off pretty quickly. I do a fruit breakfast one with a few oats and a lunchtime raw vegetables smoothie. They give off a rush like no other food.
