Looking for a cheap (sub £100) 2.1 speaker system as an improvement to tv sound which is pretty poor. Bit of a noob when it comes to this stuff so would appreciate any recommendations or if anyone has one for sale?

Cheers

Thought Logitech stuff was for computers? Is it ok for TV?

I'll check out soundbars too...

I did mine for free by using an Sony old amp that I had cluttering the place up and a set of Tannoy speakers I dug out of my late Dad's garage - just plugged a phono cable into the output on the tv into the input of the amp and it routes tv/Sky/PS3 sound through it.

Given you may not have free access to the kit that I was fortunate enough to have, I am sure you could pick up similar from Ebay for your budget and still have a really good sound (it has improved my sound output massively).

Had them for quite a few years, but love my Harman Kardon Soundsticks II. Excellent sound quality, doubt you could do much better for the pennies.

If aimed at me... The stereo separation isn't exactly amazing (as you would expect, given the speakers are so close together but the room layout - especially the big fireplace - dictates that to me really). I don't miss the centre speaker that we had on our last set-up because we didn't really use it that much at higher volumes - we just wanted a system that has clearer sound at lower volumes (our TV struggles with dialogue sometimes - it just sounds flat and muffled until the volume is cranked up).
