MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
Stupidly, I can't link (or indeed, view) videos on this NHS library computer... but let's be having 'em.
My randomly assorted three for playing loudly:
Slint Good Morning Captain - "I MISS YOU!!!" Apparently a tribute to The rime of the ancient mariner, but also good for singing/screaming at photos of yer ex.
The Chameleons Up the down escalator - "They tell me that tomorrow will never arrive/But I've seen it end a million times". Vintage 80s anger. Bleak like a triple-dip recession.
Genius/GZA 4th Chamber - Wu-Tang at their finest. And noisiest.
If I want catharsis I tend to go for this sort of stuff;
Pearl Fishers duet always deserves to be played ridiculously loud
So does in the hall of the mountain king
But the most cathartic of all musical experiences has to be a Lamb of God circle pit.
Foo Fighters, I'll stick around
Foo Fighters, Alone & easy target
Foo Fighters, X-static
... in fact the whole of that first album will do for me.
I listen to pretty much everything loud, but today I shall mostly be listening to
Pretty much anything by the Wildhearts, but especially the one that might upset the swear filter a bit (shut your ahem mouth and use your ahem brain)
Nothing
