It's okayish - there's work around for nichemongers like me (hardwood floors, parquet a speciality) but it's thin enough on the ground. I wouldn't say the situation is dire but all the tradesmen I know are saying they're not run off their feet. I'd normally be booked ahead for four weeks or so, but not been like that so far this year - it's been a bit hand to mouth.

Plenty of big building contracts going on, but I avoid commercial work like the plague so not many contacts in the area.
