Pics of her in the Observer, and my gut feel is close, but no cigar.

There again, she is a million miles ahead of her Westminster colleagues, but Carla Bruni she is not.

She's quite attractive but I was fairly alarmed to hear that my MP, Andy Burnham, was elected as the sexiest politician. He was really greasy when he first started out, a nice enough chap but just looked like he'd been doused in oil.

As for Caroline, she said this after attending a 3 hour photo shoot.

"Caroline Flint, the minister for Europe, who is interviewed in today's Observer Woman, says media attention on her looks is insulting "when it gets in the way of the other things I hope to contribute".[/i]"

but Carla Bruni she is not.

Do you mean she's not married to a famous politician, or do you mean that she's not a singer/song writer ?

All good fun, but if you set off down that road you end up like Italy, with bimbos proposed as parliamentary candidates, like Chiara Sgarbossa:

I fail to see the problem with that DrJ. They'd still be just as useless at running a country, but easier on the eye. Not a huge step forward, I admit, but a step forward none the less.

If aliens arrived, pointed a loaded ray gun at my head and forced me, yeah I would.

I think it's more the fact that she isn't some kind of weird-looking physical freak (unlike most M.P.s - where the hell do they find them?). I think she's pretty ordinary looking myself, but that's all she needs to stand out in that company. Not that I'm saying I wouldn't or anything.. 😮

Probably because it's not been reported. Threads don't close themselves.

(not that I think it particularly warrants closing, but if you do, then report it).

sometimes these sorts of threads should be closed by a mod without the need to report it imo

I agree, this ought to be closed...

As a photographer I find the standard of Photoshopping on that Italian MP both offensive and demeaning.
