Back in the day, there was a trend on the Bikemagic forum to name yourself after you favourite cartoon character, I took IR Baboon.
When I defected to STW, I decided I needed something a bit different, but linked to the Bandito Boardriders as I was stalking PMJ at the time.

Crap really.

I thought carbon was amazing when it first came to the world of bikes & built a road bike with every possible part made from it then needed a name for Twiitter when it first landed. That boring & sad really.

As a youngster in a caving club, I had an appalling booze tolerance. This was tested on every club trip it seemed. The club secretary made all our lighting equipment and engraved something on everyone's battery pack to distinguish them apart. 'Yak' appeared on mine 😳 🙂

After many years of freeloading, at Christmastime I decided to become a new me.

So I bought a P, ditched the pseudonym I had been using, and switched to using my real name.

The very first online forum I got involved in was a car one and I owned a Fiesta ST at the time. I then owned a Focus ST, and I've used the same username since and for other forums too.

I'm not a saint.

Pre-hack I was Steelrider due to the majority of my bikes being made of the stuff. post hack it made sense to carry on my steel related moniker.

My original username on here was my real name. Which didn't seem so clever when Internal Fraud started recording my non-work internet browsing...... 😳

So I was needed to be reborn, and remembered that someone had once described my bike buying tendencies as having "More Cash Than Dash" in a similar vein to "All the Gear, No idea"

It's me actual name.

With hindsight I wish I hadn't.

If I ever came back to posting regularly here (seems unlikely at the moment tbh) it'll probably be under a pseudonym.

Goose: No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea.

Maverick: Sorry, Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower.

Hammy is the nickname I was landed with a number of years ago after a certain caffeine ingesting squirrel appeared.
As a username it was taken on the US 10R forum so the UK part was tacked on the end.
Someone once said I don't need 200bhp - just ask every ****er behind me 😆
Carried over to the UK one, GixerJunkies, here, etc.
