Id imagine you could use it till you get to a garage for the correct one, back in the olden days the traditional fix was the foil from a fag packet.

red is 10 amp yellow is 20amp if you put the red one in the same will happen again it will blow the fuse. Release the wipers from the screen on frosty mornings before trying to use the wipers this will prevent blowing of fuse.

Bang it in and let us know what happens, what could possibly go wrong?

IIRC Halfords do a mixed bag of fuses for acouple of quid and they have the ratings on them. Blade fuses are definately colour coded though

Yeh red 10 amp and yellow 20 amp on 'micro' fuses anyway. Sticking a 20 amp fuse in won't be the end of the world.

Last time I needed a blade fuse, I got it from Maplin. Cost me about 10p rather than the three quid Halfords wanted.

Could be the end of the world if the under-rated fuse blows in heavy rain and leaves you driving blind. Not as bad as using an higher rated fuse though as if a fault caused the original to blow, you could end up melting your wiring loom.

If you look at the two fuses, you will see the rating written on them. You might be able to borrow a red fuse from another circuit, such as the cigar lighter.

If it's the gf, then clearly whichever is her favourite colour...
