Let's be honest I loathe and detest Man U and their red faced, whiskey soaked manager Fat Alex, with a passion...............BUT, if they win tonight I will take my hat off to them and say.......and say.......aaagghhh............well done.

Of course they can. We beat Hull on Sunday 🙂

This is the best squad Alex has ever put together. And, no matter how much you loath him, you have to admit he's built some good'uns! Its the perfect balance of experience and young talent and players just coming into their prime.

I think they'll not only win tonight, but it'll provide the springboard for the kind of European and domestic domination Liverpool achieved at their peak.

Sorry to piss on your chips. It'll be a belter of a game though. Definately the 2 best sides in the world at the moment. Certainy the 2 most entertaining

But United defender Vidic, 27, told BBC Sport: "All that matters is the result, you'll quickly forget about the style. Football is not about the style - it's about the winning"

According to Barcelona's Yaya Toure "The most important thing at Barca is the kind of football we play, beautiful football, and when Xavi and Iniesta are on the ball everyone's having a good time - both on the pitch and in the stands."

Would usually hope for a British club to win any international game, but not Red Noses bunch of mercenaries, thugs and cheats - hope Barca thrash them but suspect Manure will make the game a defensive dirge and grind out a result.....

The most entertaining team has been WBA!

I think BBC Breakfast news has just shown why the world hates Manu - a bunch of lads from Blackburn making their pilgrimage to the final, then interviewed displaced fans from Kent & Devon.

You should support your local team. Who's more local to you - Man Utd or Barca? Where do London boys play?

Who's more local to you - Man Utd or Barca

Manchester may be geographically nearer but Barcelona is culturally, spritually and philosphically closer 😉

What a load of bull, all you want is a hot Spanish seniorita 😀
(And I can't blame you) so you can be geographically nearer to her soul.

It'll be a great match! Hard to call a result, but I'd make ManU slight favorites.
Despite having no real Manchester conections, I've been a ManU fan for years simply because of the quality of entertainment. Same reason as i love Man city and Newcastle....entertaining, exciting football.
WBA did play some great stuff this season, shame it's ended so badly for them - what with Wolves and City being promoted too 😕

close game but the Man u defence is superior to the Barca one (before all the absences as well).
I can see Man u being more likely to stop Barca scoring than the other way around.
Agree it probably wont be very entertaining
PS they are the nearest Premier league team to me (or were Divsion one team in 1977)
Agree that it a shame that people no longer support their local teams round here al;ways been Man u /Liverpool but I now see young kids in Chelsea shirts whihc would never have happened years ago.
Is a bit odd to support a team hundreds of miles away and I am sure the majority of fans of clubs these days have never been to see themplay.

This whole 'all United fans are not from Manchester' is a myth - its the likes of BBC who perpetuate it - if you come to Manchester you'll see

As for all these haters, well what can I say.........jealous also-rans!

Couldn't agree more Yoshimi. I live half a mile away from Old Trafford. Apparently I should live in Essex. Works the other way too. I was out with a Gooner last weekend from Blackburn.

It'll be a 50/50 City/United mix with us in town tonight. Should make for some lively banter 🙂

Im a Liverpool fan, and personally think Man U will annihilate Barca. Too good for anyone right now, and all credit to them. The league, however, is ours next year.

When you have a Scotish manager and your players are from Portugal, Spain, Korea, Croxteth and all corners of the world it doesn't matter where the **** you're from as a supporter.
To think a fan from the city has more right than you to support the club is just stupid and hypocritical, especially when you see where the clubs revenue is coming from.
The days of supporting a team full of your local hero's is long gone.

On a different note however, how on earth can you say UTD have played great attacking football?
They've played utter borefest football all season, mostly on the break and we have to sit through 30 freekicks per game as the ref buys another Ronaldo dive on the edge of the box.

The reason everyone hates you is not jealousy but a loathing of your cheating players and senile hypocrit alcoholic manager 😉

As a Villa fan, I have no axe to grind so I'll be hoping for a Utd win. The two best teams in the competition are in the final. It's a win for football whoever wins the game.

Funnily enough I've turned into a full blown Barca fan 😆

Will be at the pub tonight with a Greek UTD fan, an Irish Arsenal fan, an Albanian Chelsea fan and myself as a Welsh Liverpool fan.

****in plastics eh!

I'm not a Man U fan and don't care if they win or lose. I'd just like to see an open game with numerous goals and some displays of footballing flair and creativity. Unfortunately from going to Old Trafford and watching Man U in european games myself, when they are playing at home, I can't see that kind of game on the cards. Unless Barca run riot over Man U it is just going to be a long drawn out 0-0 going to penalties. Not a good result for any football fan.

Personally I hope the team that plays the most exciting, attacking, free flowing, forward passing, player takeroning football wins!

So that'll be Barca then!

Some people have been watching different games to me. I never think of Man Utd being dull. Liverpool or Chelsea maybe but not Man Utd ❓

 Excellent.

I reckon Utd to win with something to spare - strength all over the park. That being said, I'm not especially ersed who wins. Utd winning will antagonise the red shyte I suppose, something I'm generally in favour of. Win or lose, we're guaranteed to hear piteous cries for help from the RS tomorrow: 'but, but, we've won it five time la'

What planet are you lot living on? Would the people who find United dull, please give me some examples of who else, other than Barca, they find interesting.

For example - I'm a Man U fan and love watching Arsenal play when they're in full flow

I am a Leeds fan and therefore, by default, know nothing about the beautiful game 😉 but I really enjoy watching Manyuu play. I also love watching teams like Barca, Madrid, AC and Inter etc etc. So I am looking forward to a great night's entertainment and whoever wins, I win (as long as it is an exciting game).

Have to say, I wanted the Scum to win last year, as Cheatski have merely bought their way to success, no question. Manure may have had plenty money dat, but instead of just getting a load of mercenaries in, they've built a dynasty, and kept the momentum going for the last 2 decades. I respect Man U, but I can't stand them. Last year was just about being able to laugh at Cheatski.

Tonight, I shall be rooting for Barca, as I can't bear the thought of another year of Scummers gloating about their success.

I do have the beautiful memory of 4-1 at Old Trafford to savour, as consolation.

Part of me wants MUFC to win just to spite Platini et al - the other half would like Barca to win with a great display of attacking football as befits their reputation..

Truthfully I think its too close to call but if pressed Id go for Man Utd aa they have all the power that Chelsea have but with more attacking options.

Hey Rude - nice anti Chelsea rant..again.. 😉

Can I just point out that Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal are all comprised of players born within walking distances of the ground. Torres, Ferdinand & Arshavin all came on frees & have been fans of their respective clubs since they were wee bairns....

Hence, fans of those clubs are allowed to behave with righteous indignation should anyone else try to gate crash their party. Neigh, in fact fans of those clubs have an obligation to let b@llocks get in the way of facts when it comes to covering up their own clubs lack of success in recent years..(Yes I am perfectly aware that each of those clubs has won more trophies than Chelsea so please dont bother with the long list of honours or pictures of trophy cabinets - Ill say it now, well done for doing so but hey now you have a little more competition ok?)

I wonder how we will all feel when the full might of the Man City cheque book is felt?

(ps note the lack of childish name calling)

Cant understand anyone from Britain not supporting a british team. I loathe Arsenal with a passion but i still wanted them to beat Barca last time. It ranks along with the Scottish supporters who always want England to get beaten at world cups. I just dont get it. Maybe i just like to see success that we can all join rather than success that we can envy from afar.

As for the comments about Man U being boring, what a lot of rubbish. Yes Barca are probably more extravagant, but i would question wether they are more skillfull. Any team that has Rooney, Ronaldo, Berbatov, Tevez, Giggs, Scholes etc etc etc has enough SKILL and ABILITY in europe to live with any of the Barca players. The thing that makes United special is that Ferguson has managed to work out how to play at a high skill level, matched to a high workrate and a good defence can work on a regular basis. A bit like the Strong/Expensive/Light ethos in biking. Pick Two!!

Barca only know how to attack which is why, when it works its great, but when it doesnt they look very stupid.

For all of the above i must admit to being a spurs fn so what the hell do i know 😉
