Bhut jolokia is recorded as being hottest chilli, got some growing ATM, but to be honest they're inedible unless you cook em!
If you can eat a scotch bonnet, i'll be VERY impressed. From experience I do NOT recommend trying.
Habanero for me. Hot, lovely flavour and the only ones that don't give heartburn (for those that suffer from heartburn).

Apache are fiery little ****ers. Available now to grow as plants in 3in-4in pots from your local garden centre. They crop well too
We grow Dorset Nagas. They are usually painfully hot!
