Anybody got any good suggestions of where to put up a little tent for me to spend the night tonight? Looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful, but all I can find is big and expensive. Not at all averse to cheeky camping, but suspect I might get into trouble round there. Ideally as near to Lulworth as possible, but anywhere in that area (or maybe even a bit further north - I'll be coming down from Bristol direction).

Pear Tree park is very lovely, but £25 a night. You get what you pay for though. Try ukcampsite

Yeah, and I only need a patch of grass to put a tent on, maybe a toilet (though a bush would do). Don't particularly want to pay for lovely. That's even more than I was objecting to paying!

Found somewhere at £6.50, but probably not going tonight now anyway.

there used to be a place in Owermoigne - guy called Jimmy used to run it, attached to his nursery - no idea if its still open (or if he is still alive/running it) (nowt else there - no shop or pub - petrol station sells food i seem to remember). otherwise stuff out Crossways way

Hi
Yeah there are lots of sites around that area. Theres two at Osmington by the sea and pub. There a couple at Wareham near Coldharbour and thats by Wareham Forest good bit of single track. There is one at Durdle Door, thats a room with a view, maybe rough when its windy. There are planty over the Purbecks around Swanage and Harmens Cross. Bit further away but beautiful and full of tracks, hills and flat and beaches. Not too far from Wareham though.
Hope this helps. :-)Also the is Southern Lights festival on at Kimmeridge so maybe busy around that area. 🙂
