I have not had any tea, coffee, of caffeine at all today. Usually I would have a red bull or two and a few cups of tea, I actually feel like I am going to fall asleep at my desk. How long do I have to stick at this until I come out the other side??

I had a caffeine purge for Lent - about 2 months for me.

Three or four days. Red Bull's not so good if you're drinking it daily.
Also look out for headaches.

That said, going Caffeine free (or at least reseting to a lower caffeine consumption level) will make you feel a world better. It's worth it. I went from about eight espressos a day plus tea and Coke (don't ask) to nothing, and then back up to two espressos a day and a couple of cups of tea. On nothing, I felt great. Good espresso is hard to give up, though.

Oh, and it really helps with other stuff as well - my heart rate was a bit bonkers, which is one reason why I cut down to nothing. Now it's 53 resting.

I've been having irregular heart beats and acid reflux recently and both consultantants told me to stop drink caffiene.
I wasn't a caffeine freak - 4 cups of tea a day but since stopping I nolonger have those energy lows during the day 🙂
