Our house doesn't have a BT line* so we're paying c.£35 a month to Virgin Media for cable phone and broadband. This is generally how much it is without any/many paid-for calls (free eve and w/end) and just seems a lot and can ramp up v.quickly with non-free calls (and their call charges are going up too...).
Is this a lot?? Are there any other cable providers (can't seem to find any of any note)? Would a BT line be any cheaper? Any other provider recommendations? TIA as always.
*apparently it was disconnected/ripped down(!) when the previous owners had some rendering done and since they had cable they didn't realise at the time and subsequently didn't fuss about it
